Data the plugin handles, on a site that installs it

The iWEBAPP Google Reviews Widget (Glowing Reviews) is a self-hosted WordPress plugin. When a site owner installs it, the plugin runs entirely on that site's own server, inside that site's own WordPress database. iWEBAPP does not receive, store, or process the reviews a site imports.

Public Google review import

When a site administrator pastes a public Google Maps or Google Business Profile URL and triggers an import, the plugin requests publicly available review data (reviewer display name, profile photo URL, star rating, review text, and review date) for that specific business listing, and stores it in that site's own WordPress database. This is an action the site administrator takes deliberately; the plugin does not run background imports without that trigger. No Google API key or Google account sign-in is required for this import, because it reads publicly displayed listing data rather than authenticating as a Google user.

CSV/JSON testimonial import

When a site administrator uploads a CSV or JSON file of testimonials, that file's contents (whatever the administrator included, such as names, quotes, ratings, or photo URLs) are stored in the same local WordPress database. Uploaded temporary files used during the import process are not retained after the import completes.

What never leaves the site

Imported review and testimonial data is not sent to iWEBAPP, is not sent to any external CDN, and is not used to serve the widget from a third-party server. The grid, slider, and other layouts are rendered directly by the site's own WordPress installation using the data already stored there.

Pro license activation

Pro is a licensed product. When a site activates a Pro license key, the plugin sends the license key and the site's domain to iWEBAPP's licensing server (built on Easy Digital Downloads Software Licensing) to verify the license and check remaining site activations. This exchange is limited to license validation and does not include review content, visitor data, or other site content.

Standard technical data

Like any WordPress plugin, error conditions may be recorded in the site's own debug or error logs if the site owner has debugging enabled. These logs stay on the site's own server and are not transmitted to iWEBAPP.

Data this website (glowingreviewswidget.com) collects

Separately from the plugin, this marketing website collects a smaller, more conventional set of data from its own visitors:

• Standard server and hosting logs, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited, used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding overall site traffic.
• Information voluntarily submitted through a contact link or email, such as the details included in a message sent to info@iwebapp.ca, used only to respond to that inquiry.
• Standard web analytics, if enabled on this site, to understand which pages are useful and how the site can be improved. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify an individual visitor personally.

This website does not sell personal information, and it does not share visitor data with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

Cookies

This website may use a small number of cookies for essential site functionality (such as remembering a cookie consent choice) and, if analytics is enabled, to distinguish returning visitors from new ones in aggregate reporting. Most browsers let a visitor block or delete cookies through their settings; blocking cookies may affect some site features but will not prevent the pages from loading.

Third-party services

A few third parties are involved in specific parts of the Glowing Reviews product and website, each limited to a specific purpose:

• Google: the plugin's public URL importer reads publicly available Google Business Profile or Google Maps listing data at the site administrator's request. Google's own privacy policy governs the data Google itself holds about that listing.
• Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) Software Licensing: used to issue and validate Pro license keys, as described above.
• PayPal: if a purchase is made for the Pro license through iWEBAPP's checkout, payment processing is handled by PayPal. iWEBAPP does not receive or store full payment card details; PayPal's own privacy policy governs data PayPal processes during checkout.
• WordPress.org: the Free version of the plugin is distributed through the official WordPress.org Plugin Directory, which has its own privacy practices for downloads and reviews left there.

Data retention

Review and testimonial data imported by the plugin stays in a site's own WordPress database for as long as that site's administrator keeps it there, and is deleted when the administrator deletes it or uninstalls the plugin with data removal enabled. Website contact inquiries sent to iWEBAPP are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and any related follow-up, and are deleted or archived afterward at iWEBAPP's discretion.

Your rights

Depending on where a visitor or customer is located, applicable privacy law may provide rights such as access to personal data held about them, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of personal data, or an objection to certain processing. For anything iWEBAPP directly controls, such as this website's own visitor data or Pro license and purchase records, requests can be sent to info@iwebapp.ca and will be handled in line with applicable law. For review and testimonial data imported by the plugin on a third-party site, that site's own administrator, not iWEBAPP, is the party controlling that data, since it lives entirely in that site's own database.

Children's privacy

This website and plugin are intended for business use by site owners, administrators, and agencies, and are not directed at children. iWEBAPP does not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time as the product or website changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes affecting how plugin or website data is handled will be reflected here.
